H a p p y  N e w  Y e a r   2 0 1 9 Director's message: 2019 will mark another transformation for CAIS in both services and learning spaces. In 2018, we have focused on curating Open Educational Resources not only for its financial benefit but also to support the University’s’ role in developing the nation’s K-economy. We have placed much effort into nurturing relationship with our users much by engaging with them through joint programs and activities; strengthening our Faculty Liaison; as well as reaching out to them via social media. We have also introduced CAIS Updates to better inform users on the availability of scholarly content, events and activities. Looking back 2004, our infrastructure was more than sufficient to serve the population of approximately 8000 students. Today, our students are using more than just their laptops. Smartphones, tabs and other gadgets are a constant companion to them. Therefore, a normal scene at the library, airport or just about a
